Since graduating from Grant MacEwan University’s Massage Therapy Program in 2015, Michael has remained committed to expanding his clinical knowledge and refining his therapeutic skills. In 2017 and 2018, he completed advanced training with respected manual therapy educators Kip Petch and James Waslaski, including the opportunity to assist James in teaching a professional development course in 2018. These experiences helped shape Michael’s evidence-informed approach to assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Over nearly a decade of clinical practice, Michael has worked with a diverse range of conditions and injuries, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, arthritis, chronic pain, mobility restrictions, and complex traumatic injuries. His experience allows him to create individualized treatment plans that address each client’s unique needs, goals, and stage of recovery.
Michael combines the strong foundation of massage therapy principles with advanced Integrated Manual Therapy techniques. His treatments incorporate joint mobilization, myofascial release, and targeted soft tissue therapy to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Michael works to identify and address the underlying factors contributing to discomfort and movement limitations.
A key focus of Michael’s practice is injury prevention and rehabilitation. Through the mobilization of restricted or “stuck” structures, he helps clients improve movement patterns, decrease pain, enhance muscle activation, and support long-term physical health. His treatment style is both effective and comfortable, with techniques typically performed in a pain-free manner whenever possible.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic pain, returning to activity after surgery, or looking to improve your athletic performance, Michael is dedicated to helping you move better, feel stronger, and achieve lasting results. He believes that restoring healthy movement is fundamental to overall wellness and works collaboratively with clients to support both their immediate concerns and long-term health goals.
